This Privacy Policy explains how OralCivics: Citizenship Test (“OralCivics,” “the app,” “we,” “us”) handles information. The developer is Muhammad Faizan, doing business as Apptiv Labs.

Short version

OralCivics does not create accounts, does not use ads, and does not sell or share your data. Study progress stays on your device.

Information we do not collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store on our servers:

• name, email, or phone number inside the app
• payment information
• location or contacts
• photos, files, or advertising IDs
• analytics or crash reports
• voice recordings

The app does not require sign-in.

Information stored on your device

The app saves data locally so your study plan still works when you reopen it. This can include:

• test version (2025 or 2008)
• 65/20 setting
• state or territory
• elected-official names you type in
• flashcard progress, streak, quiz history, and readiness

This data stays on your iPhone or iPad. We cannot see it.

Speech

OralCivics uses Apple’s on-device text-to-speech to read questions and answers out loud. The app does not record your voice and does not request microphone access.

Internet

You do not need an account or an internet connection to study the bundled questions. Opening this website, sending us email, or downloading the app from the App Store uses those companies’ networks, not an OralCivics backend.

Email you send us

If you email apptivlabs@gmail.com for support, we receive whatever you include in that message so we can reply. We do not add you to a marketing list. We keep support email only as long as needed to help you.

App Store

Apple may collect information when you download or use the App Store. That is covered by Apple’s privacy policy, not this one.

Children

OralCivics is a general-audience study app. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Delete your data

In the app: Settings → Reset progress. To remove everything, delete the app from your device.

Third parties

The app does not include advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or social logins.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
